Project Updates

Recreation and COA Facilities

The Capital Facilities Committee will be meeting on March 13th. At that meeting, they will make a recommendation to the Select Board on a preliminary design and budget for a Council on Aging facility and Recreation Center. Its expected the combined cost of both projects will be in the neighborhood of forty-one million dollars. After the Select Board receives this recommendation they will decide whether or not to put these projects on the Spring 2024 Town Meeting Warrant for funding.

DPW Facility

The project team is still going through the permitting process with Conservation and the Planning Board. We expect that to be wrapped up next month. We have also been reviewing the landscape plans with the abutters to ensure screening of the facility is to their satisfaction. After the permitting phase is complete the project will go out to bid. Construction is expected to begin this summer.
